Course Location

The course takes place in the LUMC, in room J1-83. Room J1-83 is located behind the Hospital Library in the main building of the LUMC. There will be sign posts to guide you to the room on the first floor. If you are lost, just follow directions to the Waleus Library: the J1-83 room is located behind the library.

All participants should bring their own laptop, with SPSS and R pre-installed (see documentation). USB sticks with a trial version of SPSS for Windows will however be available for you. We do not have SPSS for Macs for you so you have to install that version yourself  before the course (see also the documentation how to find it)!

Travelling to and from Leiden Central Railway station ( dutch railway timetables )

The ibis hotel is a one minute walk from the station.

BUILDING 1

From Schiphol Airport 6 trains per hour leave from platform 5 or 6 for Leiden and the journey takes between 16 and 21 minutes. Do not take a taxi! Much more expensive and slower than the train.

If arriving by train from the direction of Germany, you can either travel to Schiphol and then onwards to Leiden or you can travel to Utrecht Central station and take a direct train (40 minutes every half hour) to Leiden.

From the direction of Belgium/France, you travel to either Rotterdam and continue with a normal intercity to Leiden or you travel to Schiphol and then southwards again to Leiden. International trains do not stop in Leiden.
