Edit text on page

Follow the steps below to edit the text and similar content on a page.

Edit mode

Before you can modify the content of a page the page must be put in 'Edit mode'.

Select the page you wish to edit. On the top righthand corner you see the 'Edit Page'-button. If you don't see this button be sure yoy are logged in and you have the right to edit the page.

  1. Hoover above the 'Edit Page'-button. The popup-menu will appear.
  2. Click on the 'Edit This Page'-button

The view of the page changes to 'Edit Mode'. The modules on the page will be grayed out except for the current module. A module will become the current module if you hoover the mousepointer on the module. The modules will have some additional buttons which are used for modifying the module's content or meta-data.

Add a HTML-module

Normal text and images on a page are contained in HTML-modules. So you have to add a HTML-module before you can add text or images. Modules, with their content, can be shared between pages. For most purposes this will make maintenance of the pages more diffucult. So the following description only non-shared modules will be used.

  1. Hoover above the 'Modules'-button on top of the page.
  2. Click on the 'Add New Module'-button.

You will see a list of available modules-types.

  1. Below the modules is a faint scrollbar. Scroll to the right until you see the 'HTML'-module
  2. Select the module. Keep the select-button of your mouse depressed to drag the module to the intenden location on the page.

  1. The location where the module will be placed is colored light blue. Drop the module on the intended location by releasing the mouse

The empty HTML-module will appear at this location ready to be edited.

Change a HTML-module Title

Every HTML-module has a title which will appear above the content of the module. The text of the title is set in the metadat of the module.

  1. Hoover above the settings button of the HTML-module. A context menu will appear.
  2. Click on the 'Settings'-button to open the settings dialog of the module.

  1. Select the 'Module Settings'-tab
  2. Enter the title in the 'Module Title'-edit box
  3. Click on the 'Update'-button to update the title of the module

Edit content of a HTML-module

The content of a HTML-module consist of text, images, links amongst others. In principle all HTML-content-types are possible.

  1. To edit the content hoover above the HTML-module and click on the 'Edit Content'-button

  1. Select the 'Rich Text Editor'. This will allow you to use more than basic text.
  2. Choose 'Design'-mode. This wil allow you to edit the content with the buttons on top of the edit-window. If you are familiar with HTML-editing you can also use the HTML-mode. Sometimes the 'Design'-mode will produce some trash-html especially if you copy-and-paste text from other programs.
  3. You can select styles from the style-dropdown.
  4. You can apply special formatting using the buttons on top.
  5. Click on the 'Save'-button to save your work.

Close Edit Mode

When you are finished you can leave 'Edit Mode' of the page. This will show the page in the normal view.

  2. Click on the 'Close Edit Mode'-button
